To me it doesnt look like you're doing too much wrong, doesnt seem to like the media you are using Nero is 1 version behind, my Nero just packed it in also , I had to uninstall and run General Clean Tool and re install, it's now up and burning. I have seen some Verbatim for sale that are advertised as manufactured by CMC Magnetics. Have you checked the code on your discs to make sure that you do not have some of those. That would be a very reasonable explanation for having a 20% coaster rate.
Sometimes I find myself having to reboot the computer once I've finished burning a disc to avoid "Could not perform End-of-Disc..." error. Thanks for the advices guys. I'm in the process of updating the firmware on my Lite-On.
