    1. Are you trying to burn MPEG files, or cue/bin files?
    2. Does these movies work o.k. on your computer?
    3. When you burn those files, are you burning at a faster rate than 8x ?
    4. If those movies are 'plain' MPEG files - do you specify your burning program to burn in VCD mode?
    5. Which programs did you try?

OK so what are you using to burn them?? If it's nero, would i be right in saying the resulting cd has nothing on it, well appears to have nothing on it?

I also used Alcohol to burn and it didn´t work. When I try to watch it at Media Player it simply doesn´t show anything. On PowerDVD it says there´s a CD with unrecognized format in the drive (however when I select the drive to be opened it says there´s a VideoCD loaded). It happened with 2 different videos, maybe it´s some setting I´m forgetting to set up, however I followed afterdawn´s guide to Alcohol 120%.
In my case, in both videos, it also didn´t work when I mounted a virtual image, the error was the same.
P.S.: both videos were in SVCD format.
