where can i buy dstt or edge ds cheap

I live in bc canada and i want to buy dstt and edge cards for my ds and friends ds's. However, i have a couple of questions, what is a cheap site. Also, i heard that there are a lot of fake dstt's is that true? If so, would edge cards be better or are there a ton of fake edge's as well?

 

Dealextreme.com is a good cheap site (it can take a couple of weeks though) Yes there are a lot of fake DSTT cards around if you get a fake and put the real software on it can block the card, there are recovery programs around but not an ideal solution - send it back for a replacement or refund.

Edge is a clone card and there are not may fakes around of this card, I use M3 Real and have been very pleased with it, however there are even fakes of this now.

When you get the card do not go to the site they tell you, use the site in my signature as this hosts all the real software. If its not working with the real software then its probably a fake. The only exception to this is R4 - these are a nightmare as there are 10 cards all with the same name always use the recommended site for this - best advice DON'T buy anything with R4 name in it

 

Why? without r4, there wouldn't be any ds flash cart, as it is THE flash cart.

as you can see, everything is just a CLONE of the original R4.

 

Why not R4? - I think its fairly obvious

YES R4 WAS the flash card to have, however the original is no longer updated and although you can arm7 patch some of the games not all work - YES most can be made to work, but most people who are now buying R4's are newbies, they want a simple solution out of the box

The R4 now has 10 or 11 different types - and these are the ones that are using the R4 name - I ignore the R4 clones that use a different name.

So R4 - 11 firmwares to choose from, not an easy task - look at this forum, it is full of poor unfortunate people who did not know what they were getting into.

So although the R4 was the card - cheap poor clones have made sure that it isnt now, Edge etc all have their own firmware, new name, regular updates, no confusion.

So I stand by my statement - Avoid R4 unless you are SURE you know what you are getting into.

edge cards are by far thebest i have ever used, dealextreme has been out of them for months, but luckily i have managed to source them

 

dealextree.com sell fake dstt's i emailed dstt.com and asked them DO NOT BUY OR USE THEM, focalprice.com is brilliant they also give you points for buying so you can get money off anything

 

Why are you bashing DX so much on here and promoting focalprice? Did you happen to ask dstt.com if the carts on focalprice are fakes? Cause they'll tell you the same thing... YES.

 

focalprice dont owe me money for not coming up with goods, and holding my money a few people i work with have similar problems just warning people. i could ask the same why you are promoting dealextreme so much

What's so hard to understand? Order sku 15613... you'll get a real one. That's what I know personally...

I'm not promoting DX, I'm just stepping in with another view point. You keep bashing them on every thread you reply to here... just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean everyone will. Get over it and move on!

Yes you have moved on to a more expensive place congratulations. However keep reviving old threads just to promote them and you will end up getting banned.

So you had a bad experience with dealextreme, I have had nothing but good (apart from the wait - as I explain) when I had faulty goods I returned them and they refunded the postage, what more could you ask.

So there are lots of choices out there, you have had good experience with focalprice (and you are prepared to pay the extra cash for it) have you had to return product and get a refund, what happened, how long did it take. What is the waiting time from order to receiving, why are they more expensive!

Stop blatantly promoting an expensive option for people - a forum is to give your opinion and help others, not to go one a boring one man crusade to have a go at dealextreme.

This will be my last reply to anything you have to say. You're an idiot and you're just not worth my time anymore.

 

Everyone keeps on going on about fake dstt cards and you can only run firmware 1.5.

If you already have a corrupt dstt just do a recovery on it then disable the fake card killer software, that is what i did and i've been running version 1.7 for about 5 months now without a problem.

THESE FAKE CARDS ARE CHEAP AND WORK GREAT
