Hello Afterdawners...very interesting site you have here with many colorful people. Here is my question; I am a total DVD back up newbie(virgin)I was thinking about getting into backing up my DVD collection...so I was looking on Tiger Direct's website and found a very reasonable priced DVD Dual Format Drive(+/-R, +/-RW)It is made by I/O Magic.($109.00 with $20.00 rebate=$89.00)If at all possible...could you guys/ladies give me some feedback on this drive, and any good/bad experiences you may have had with it. My PC specs are as follows I am using a Gateway 500s with a P4(2.4ghz)1024mb(1gb)Memory with about 115gb total HD space. Or if no one has any feedback on this drive could you please direct me to some more drives in that Price range(also dual format)
    Thanks ahead of time

It's very tough to beat the Pioneer 106/A06 for the money. They can be had for around $120 and are one of the best burners you can buy.

The NEC 1300A is a decent drive and can be had for around $100.
