Windows 2000 systems are primarily at risk from this vulnerability. Windows 2000 customers who have installed the MS05-039 security update are not affected by this vulnerability."" If you are on Windows XP and have kept your O/S updated ; there is nothing for you to worry about !
A application i find useful to find what patches am missing is GFI LANguard Network Security Scanner 6.0 it checks for patches that are missing and downloads them for you. I wish! new exploits are coming out day after day finding even more flaws in MS Os's, I've been reading a book called Stealing The Network How To Own The Box, it's tells stories of people that a pro hackers and every1 of them laughs at how easy Microsoft's Os's are easy to hack and it rather scary what these guys and gals can do.
