WHICH CAMCORDER SHOULD I BUY

    Depends on any number of things, mostly how much money you have to spend, but I've always used Sony and never had any problems.

    I just bought the JVC HDD camcorder. It has a 30G Hard drive. WELL worth the money! I think JVC is the only company making these camcorders, at least that's what I was told. I love this thing. It also has a built in 1Mpixel digital still camera. There are some models with better still image cameras, but that's the one I have. Do your homework on them. It is WELL worth the money!     No, JVC is not the only one. Sony has one, the DCR-SR100, and there are several other brands that record to memory cards.
    But be aware that buying a camcorder that records in MPEG-2 will give you a lot of problems when you plan doing a lot of edtiting...

    I agree, it is confusing trying to edit videos...but once you get used to the programs, it's great!
