i am using memorex cd-rw. are these ok? i made the evox disk and tried to load it. it said something to the effect: loading linuxboot.cfg: not found: haulting what does this mean and how can i correct it? i really need help with this. i have a chameleon mod and a 1.0 'box
I have never got a CDRW to boot personally but from what I have heard its best to make a dud file to fill up the start of the disk as the drive sometime struggles with the start of CDR/W disks. However it does sound like yours is booting the disk so it might not be the problem here.
First I'll burn some music to that type of cd-rw, then boot to your xbox dash (chip must be off). But it in and see if it reads it. If it don't it will tell u but if it does will should start playing the cd aotumatily. So then u know that your xbox reads that type of cd-rw's. For evox not working you need to flash your chip first. I'm guessiing u got the linx bios on it right now. So you'll need Evox or Xectuer bios to run and boot evox. So u got to flash the chip via programer or cd. Try searching for flash chip via cd or something like that , i'm sure it's been answerd before.
