Which Codecs for Audio & Video are a MUST for video & Music files?

    Which Codecs for Audio & Video are a MUST for video & Music files?
    I dont really know which ones are required. Cause I think that I have old codecs on my pc & I think that I might need new ones So I can remove the old ones.

    Well if something won't play, then new codec(s) are required if you want to play it. So the MUST HAVE codecs depend entirely on what you are trying to play.

    Others will suggest that you just install a codec pack or install a bunch of crap that you may or may not need.

    I would suggest that if you encounter something that won't play. You figure out what is required and install that.
