Here's my problem. I did a fresh install of windows and now avi files play a little blocky. I've tried uninstalling all the codecs, but the video still plays just like it did. How can I find which codec is allowing the video to play? I guess I want to find a way to stop the video playing. I've tried Gspot and it says that the file is xVid and codecs are installed... Or if someone can suggest a way to stop the blocky playback, that would be fine too. Thanks for any help!
I have had great success with this codec pack: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/k-lite_codec_pack_update.cfm
Thanks for the reply! It turns out it was the display drivers for my video card...avis (and everything else) now play fine. Thanks for the pointer!
