Can any (such as 2g or 3g) work with t-mobile once unlocked, and will the internet work with EDGE and all that? I am looking to get an iphone here soon and just want to know what I should be looking for before I purchase one. Does it have to be below a certain firmware version, or anything like that or can I just get any old iphone and unlock it? Thanks in advanced!
I am almost positive in saying that the 2g version will work, as for the EDGE question i am not sure if you can get the internet to work through it. But i do know that you are able to get wifi on the unlocked 2g phones so if you are somewhere were they have that then you are fine with the internet. I no that you can use a 2g iphone and have all tmobile options work including mms messaging (takes a little work)
