I am down to my final choices, Dell Inspiron 9300 Intel® Pentium® M Processor 750 (1.86 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB) 256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 6800 video card, 17" screen HP zd8000 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 640 w/HT Technology (3.2GHz) and a 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) X600 video card, 17" screen Sager AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Processor with AMD Powernow Technology ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 128MB DDR video card, 17" screen This laptop will be plugged in 95% of the time. The screen pixels are similiar. Which of these will have the sharpest graphics with streaming, dvd's and games, and also which one will run the fastest with streaming, dvd's and games and surfing the net?Is the difference between the 256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 6800 video card and the ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 128MB DDR video card that much noticeable since the ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 128MB DDR video card is in a AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Processor with AMD Powernow Technology processor? Thank you for your opinon's and help!
god ... if your gonna compare separate them!!! I fixed your post. Yea!!! Dude try reading some reviews. The Go 6800 and the Mobility Radeon X800 are the fastest mobile cards out there. Compared to the Mobility Radeon 9700. 9700 has 128MB DDR compared to 256MB of GDDR3. http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2268 http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1768299,00.asp I would do a little more home work. Ask your self how much you want to spend. I returned an Alienware 7700m, because I didn't want it plugged in all the time and the battery only lasted an hour. Are you really gonna unplug it 5% of the time? seems like a waste. build a power PC for that kind of money.
