OK, so it's upgrade time, well it has been for over a month now, but have been waiting for the N97 to actually be released through Orange & not a 3rd party company (ie Phones4U).
I called Orange today to find out what was going on and they've pulled the N97 until further notice as it needs to pass more tests.

I really want this phone, it looks great, the specs are good and the storage space is superb for a phone, but i'm not sure I can wait any longer and be shafted by Orange. As I said my contract is up and is rolling month by month at the moment and I know as soon as my next month starts they will pull it from the catalogue.

I don't really want to leave Orange as i've got a very cheap contract with them due to being with them for ages, but I know I can get this phone from Vodafone, but on a much higher contract so that isn't an option.
So do I wait and be disapointed when they decide not to release the N97 or shall I forget about that one and go for a different one?

The Samsung i8910HD is one i've been looking at too, the specs are better than the N97, but i've never liked Samsung phones but do I have a punt on that??

Anyone with expieriences on both of these phone can you please help me out as i'm at a loss now and am completely confused!!

    Cheers all :)

    Hi Gregerss

The first thing you notice when handling the i8910HD is how solid it feels in your hand. The feel of the materials used combined with the weight and balance of the device make for a very gratifying feeling when holding it. When I had the opportunity to hold the N97 in one hand and the i8910HD in the other, it really made the N97 feel very cheap, plasticky, and hollow.

For size reference, the i8910HD is a bit taller than an iPhone 3GS, but a less wide, making it much easier to grip. To keep it in perspective, the phone is also very thin.

I think you should go with i8910HD.
