Which Program

    For converting video files straight to dvds, which program is better?

    Vso Divx to DVD or TMPGEnc?

    vso divx to dvd is very good at converting your avi's whether that be divx/xvid etc to mpeg2 !!!!!

    What tmpgenc are we talking about?

    I recommend you to try Xilisoft newsly released xilisoft dvd creator. It can easily convert popular video formats and burn them to DVD (playable on home DVD player).

    Dont' bother. Xilisoft is convoluted, complicated, slow, and expensive.
    DivX to DVD is oversimplified, but it works easily.
    Tmpgenc Plus is just an encoder, not an authoring app, slow, but does (can) yield superb quality mpeg's.
    Tmpgenc does NOT put out any program to convert files straight to dvd.

    but they're reauthor program is relatively simple to use and worth having as a reauthor tool.
