Which reciever

    Hi All,
    which type of reciever would i need for a art sports or al-jaaera sports card coming off either nilesat or hotbird

    the reciever you buy will need to be able to read the art/aljazeera card ,there are are differnet encryption systems such as iredeto /seca/ conax/ nagravision etc so you need to know what encryption method these channels use . so your box will need to have a built in cam (conditional access module) to read the card and open the channels or it will need a common interface port where you can insert a cam .you can get multi cams which can read cards that have different encryption systems or you can buy a cam for just one encryption system.
