Fibre channel is a technology for linking IT equipment such as PCs, mainframes, servers, data storage systems etc at very high speeds. A Fibre channel system would be a complete IT system such as that found in a business or other facility which uses fibre channel technology. ... says the website Fibrechannel.org.
