me personally i like eric clapton or (Cream) the band he was with before he played solo

 

man, there's so many that I love. I couldn't pick one favorite. But I love:

Pink Floyd
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Journey
Guns N Roses
AC/DC
Boston
Queen
Van Halen

 

The Doors, Tom Petty, Zeppelin, CCR

 

And lets not forget-Deep Purple,Black Sabbath,Yes,The Beatles,

Of course I love The Doors, Pink Floyd, Zepp', Journey and the others mentioned...

But I have one band that I always tell people to check it and see...FOREIGNER!

And does Asia count as Classic Rock yet? (lol)

PS: Way too many to list as was stated: I love most Rock bands from the late 60's to the late 80's. Even including White Snake, Poison, Def Leppard, Quiet Riot etc.

Edit: Duh! Jimmi Hendrix! Can't believe I forgot to atleast mention him. And does Billy Joel can't too? I know he's a singer song writer, but he's kinda BA enough to be a rocker, no? I'd actually have to look at my playlist to remember all the classic rock I listen to. 99% of the new crap out today sucks, so I retreat back to when rock was strong!

There are too many bands to name but Stix and Journey are top on my list.

 

I was just listening to Styx Greatest Hits in the car today!

 

I love all those classic rock bands! They just don't make them like they use to.

I'll also throw in The Kinks/Neil Young-with and without Crazy Horse/ and The Who.
