I'm new at the whole burning DVD's so try and help me out here. I have a burner, and a bunch of DVD+R's, and all that good stuff, but everytime I try to burn a movie I have, it says it's way too big to burn When I look at the properties of the movie, it says it's only around 700mb (usually) but when I put it in Sonic MyDVD, it says it's around 7GB. What do I have to do to shrink it, and transfer my movies from my computer, to DVD's that I can watch through a DVD player?
First of all you should read the guide on the first page of the dvd forum. Secondly, yes almost all movies are too big to just burn to a dvd. You need to use a program like dvdshrink (free program) to shrink the movie then burn to a dvd.
what kind of files work in dvdshrink, and can you convert other files so that they work in dvdshrink?
Sonic My DVD always over blows the size to a redicoulus size are you doing video clips to dvd or what?
yeah I'm trying to burn video clips, and movies onto DVD's but I can't fit them and every program I use says it's the wrong kind of file to shrink
DVD Shrink is pretty good. It is free, and lets you edit out all the extras. It also has built in decryption.
