Why can't Clonedvd2 re-author like DVDshrink?

I love Clonedvd2 for its ease of use, not to mention the short time to burn a movie; however, I must say its drawback is its inability to remove unwanted features that DVDshrink is able to take care of. In short, I find myself using DVDshrink more when the compression level of CloneDvd2 is under 70%.

I can usually get most of the same stuff removed with Clone as I do with Shrink.
First, when I open Clone, I select "Copy DVD Titles".

The next screen, I select the main movie title. The cool thing here is that you can preserve the menus, which Shrink can't do when using Reauthor..

The next screen lets me select which Audio and Subtitle streams I want to keep, pretty much the same way Shrink does.

The next screen gives me very easy burn/write output options, burn speed settings and drive selection.

Clone does lack the Set Start/End Frames feature that is handy for snipping off some of those long credits at the end. It also lacks a way to play the video and listen to the different audio streams like you can with Shrink. Shrink does have a way to apply custom compression to various parts if you are doing an entire movie, with Clone, even though I preserved the menus, I can't add extra compression to them.
Other than that though, I can get about the same results.

Edit: It can snip off the start and end...the first screen has the snipper tool at the bottom of the preview window:
