Why do they make the headphones longer than the other?

    i noticed that the headphones are way too longer than the other..i was wondering if they did this with a purpose or what? or just some manufacturing problem?

    Basically because when you play an MP3 player people usual hold it at one side, therefore not being symetrical to your ears all in all

    I too have wondered this. I normally go for headphones which are equal in length.

    It's normally the one on the left hand side that is shortest. It is damn sure annoying as the earbud always falls out of my left ear.
