Hello, I am new to burning vidoe dvds.. I capture video from video camera through firewire by using Ulead Video Studio 9.0 in Mpeg format Or by using Ulead Movie Factory 4.0 in Mpeg format too..

And I am using Nero Burning 7.0 to make a video dvd, BUT before burning nero starts Transcoding of all the video files...Why????

Its take very long time about 3 to 4 hours to burn a video dvd...

In which format I have to capture video form movie camera????????
So Nero did not Transcode the video file and burn video dvd in very short time...

    Need your help

first of all there are different types of mpgs. Mpeg1 is used for vcds. mpeg2 is used for svcds.

So you maybe using the wrong mpeg type. Another thing is if you go over 2hrs of the right encoding type nero will automatically encode it to fit.
