I have tried like 5 different .avi to dvd programs and all of them seem to take forever to convert. Is this normal? When I say a long time I mean like 9 hours or something. Also, sometimes it just shuts down my computer. I would assume that is because it is just overheating or something. One more thing---- Is there anyway to make my computer cooler without like strapping a desktop fan next to it. It is a laptop by the way and I already have a tragus cool pad. I have a Compaq Presario 2500 and it is so loud cause the fan is ALWAYS on and it never stops. I guess because it gets so damn hot. Any suggestions?
Maybe your Windows has wallpapers, screen severs, something similar switched on and which start working, after some hours you don't use your PC? Encoder: if you can find a copy, try CCE. It's among the fastest. Fan: I don't know..
try downloading a program called SpeedFan and have it run in the background with both boxes set to 100 and the checkbox nex to automatic fan speeds unchecked...
