Hey all, I have a widescreen LCD and i just upgraded my version of PowerDVD to 6 to make sure that I could view widescreen movies in full format. Everytime i play a movie, it looks like its playing through 4:3 and not 16:9 (the bars keep showing up) I've played around with the resolution, but that doesnt help. Any suggestions as to how I can actually play widescreen movies w/o the bars?
does the picture look distorted ? like the person is taller... if it doesn't than its in the correct aspect. they still encode film with those black bars, or black mattes on top and bottom.
