I'll apologise now, I'm sure the answer could be searched for but the search terms generate far too many posts to dig through (which i did). I converted a widescreen DivX to a widescreen .mpg with tmpgenc using virtualdub as a frameserver. the .mpg played back on my computer as widescreen ntsc film perfectly. I then burned the .mpg to VCD using Nero. When I play the VCD in my DVD player it plays as widescreen on my fullscreen TV set however, instead of the usual black bars at the top and bottom the picture "runs off" the left and right hand sides. I have burned several widescreen movies without this problem. What did I do wrong?
