i read somewhere that 83% of dvd players read + and 92% read -. is this true because i have looked on the outside of a lot of dvd players boxes and if it read any burns it was always -. is it possible that they wouldnt advertise that it read +'s. And does any one know of a site that will tell me about any dvd player.
Its an interesting topic you've read, i havent seen statistics like that, but generally, +R will be read by most DVD players, depending on the media, and -R will be read by virtually them all, again depending on the media used. Chris
No problem. Here is a bit of info on +R and -R. I will update the info soon on it to reflect that +R can possibly achieve a better output: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/dvd_formats.htm Also, here is a list of what media works with what DVD player - very useful if you ask me. I haven't updated it in a few weeks, but the only really new DVD's are Datawrite Ritek and a =R one i cant remember http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/dvdr_compatibility.htm Chris
