Hello all, well I bought a new computer from Tigerdirect, parts all whole, and I'm kinda irked that it hasn't came in yet, so I'm planning on buying an AGP card, till it my computer parts come in, then returning it.

So my question is, will this card work on any motherboard? Mine?

VisionTek - ATI RADEON HD2400 Pro 512MB DDR2 AGP Graphics Card

    My motherboard:

Came in this sony viao I bought in 2004, ummm Asus/Sony don't have the spec's for it.

    CPU-Z says:

    Manufacturer: ASUSTek Computer Inc.
    Model: P4SD-VL
    Chipset: Intel, i865P/PE/G/i848P
    Southbridge: Intel, 82801EB (ICH5)
    LPCIO: Winbond, W83627THF

    Graphic Interface
    Version: AGP 3.0
    Transfer rate 8x
    Max Supported 8x
    Side band: Enabled

So yeah. I'm thinkin it can since the card is a x8 AGP card, but I'm still not sure :p

    Thanks

I am pretty sure this chipset has an AGP 8x slot, so the card will work as long as it has that slot. The AGP slots are usually brown.

    Yeah : D

looked at it now, since I run my build without the side case part for the hell of it, so yeah.

    Thanks : P

That'll do temporarily I suppose, but is it actually going to be an upgrade from what you already have?
