Hi I have not got an American TV and DVD player so the question (at the moment) is simple. If I send my american friend a UK PAL DVD will it play and look OK, will it play but be squashed or otherwise altered or will it end up in the bin. Are DVD players like the newer VHS players in that they can handle both PAL and NTSC I know I can convert it but I currently do not have much drive space for conversion. All answers welcome. Kenny
The player should be fine. It is the TV that you should be worried about. TV's in the US as a general rule can only handle NTSC. Back to the player though, if it is capable of converting to NTSC then everything would be ok.
