I have several ISO files (that I made years ago) and double clicking any of them in Win 10 results in an error claiming the disk image file is corrupted. However, I just downloaded and tried VLC Media Player and it is happy to play them. Is Win 10 just out of it w.r.t. ISO files? Isn't double clicking supposed to mount them? Curiously, Larry
depends on what the iso files are.what exactly are these files,as iso files are generally an executable file and not a playable one.
These were used to burn videos on DVD. They contain files with extensions like BUP, IFO and VOB. VLC plays them and they look like they are being played on a DVD player. -- Larry
vlc will play pretty much anything you throw at it without installing codecs.it looks like win10 doesnt recognize these files.i use vlc myself and heartily recommend it.
Right on the money aldan. There's no codec pack installed. @larry install klite codec pack full it should give what you need for wmp tho once it is installed there's no need for windows media player as you'll find mpc is a better gui
