Hello, I'm hoping someone can please help me out with this. I'm using Winavi to try and encode/convert some Avi video files, but every time the process is finished, The videos seems to lose their original audio quality. I have the K-Lite Codec Pack 2.72 installed and I've followed the Winavi Avi to DVD guide on this site along with other guides I've found elsewhere on the web, but it always ends up being the same result, loss of audio quality. This is a problem I've been trying to solve for a long time, so if some could please help me resolve this problem, I would be extremely grateful.

    Thank you

Have you tried other programs (e.g. VSO, DVDSanta)?

If there is no sound, please check if you had selected the "Enable DirectAC3". Or you can email to support@winavi.com to gained help.

I'm running on Windows ME, so those programs won't work on my system. Although, I accidently installed VSO, not knowing it's not for my system. The program runs, but I can never complete a conversion, because something always goes wrong.

I actually think the problems I've been having with the sound has something to do with my Ac3 filter not being adjusted properly, but now I can't convert anything because I'm now getting an error message from Winavi saying "[bold]Access violation at address000000004. read of address 022b5220[/bold]" Whatever that means..so,I guess it's back to the drawing board. :(

"Access violation at address000000004. read of address 022b5220"

Is this the whole of the error message?
Didn't it say in which module?
