I have recently purchased a WinAvi software and would like to hear your opinions about it. Why, because I am not totally happy about it and want to find out if I am doing something wrong or the software typically not worth 29$, price I've paid for it.

I am capturing video through a firewira port using Nero or Pinnacle Studio 8.8 to DV type. After some editing and storing as AVI file I am trying to convert it from AVI to DVD using WinAvi, yesterday it just hangs at 36%, after I restarted a session it hang again on 25%. AVI size is about 11 gigs. Any suggestions or recomendations are welcome and be greately appreciated. Thank you.

I have Winavi 7.1. In general, it has less tolerance for errors than some of the other programs (e.g. VSO). I use it mainly for working with rm or rmvb.
