    I recently bought WinAvi and when trying to convert Xvid film files into DVD acceptable format I'm receiving the same error message;

    'Can't decode this file!may be the file is broken or sytem not install the decoder!'

    I have installed k-lite mega codec package but I'm still geting the same error and it's happening on all Xvid film files.

    Can someone please recommend a guide to WinAVi or help me where I'm going wrong?

    Thanks in advance

    Justin

    I've found in my experience that if you can't watch the file using windows media player, you're missing the proper codec. If this is the case, the file extension on the video may clue you to the codec you're missing. Codec packs don't always contain what's needed and can sometimes conflict with codecs that were already installed.
