hopefully this is the right forum, Heard this was a good product so bought this over the weekend. Anyways trying to convert family .avi files to dvd. It seems to work fine and all, but the last 10/15 min of the last vob file, it's freezes, you hear the song and all, but hte picture just freezes. then you get to see some broken up squares... Any idea on this one? The first vobs that are created are perfect, just the last part of the last one? Thanks
Is this on your PC with the VOB files or your DVD player with an actual DVD Disc. If it is a disc, then you are probably using bad media. Get something like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Also, do not burn the full size of the disc. Try to get about 4350MB.
Try use VSO DivxToDVD (free version) to convert the avis into dvd compliant format, then burn with e.g. Nero to see if things are better. You can add more than one avis before converting: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Good luck!
