[bold]Hey guys! Well, I have an old IBM Aptiva my uncle gave me sittin up in my room (becide my good pc) and I decided to try to fix it the other day. It has a less than 2 gig hdd. I ripped that out and stuck in a cd burner. I have tried to put windows 98 on it before, and It got all F****D up. So, I got a 8 gig hdd (out of an xbox) and cleared it and put it in my dell. Now, Since the old pc has only 48 mb of ram, I cant put XP on it. But, Windows 2000 will install fine. So, right now I have it hooked up to my dell pc (newer) and it is drive D:/ And my old 160 gig hdd for my dell is drive C:/ So, I aquired a copy of 2000 from a reliable sorce (*p2p cough*) and I want to install it to just the D:/ drive so I can plug and play on my old pc becuase I have tried to install it from a disk before and I have went through many! I extracted the Win2k folder and I have: Folders: Bootdisk Discover I386 Setuptxt Support Valueadd Autorun (.ini I think) CDrom_ip.5 (Says the format is a 5 file) CDrom_NT.5 (same as above format-----5file) Readlist (Text document) Readme (MS word document) serial (text document-----serial #) Setup (Has the windows symbol and says type is application and Welcome to windows NT) Can I install 2000 on the hdd from my pc and then plug and play or can I copy some of the folders over and plug and play or something. If not, how exaclty do I make this Win2k fodler a disk that I can install 2000 off of a clean Hdd. I have tried before but they say command Invalid? What I did was put everything in Win2k in a data cd project and burnt. I DID NOT PUT THE ACTUAL WIN2K FODLER IN. JUST THE CONTENTS! Please help me out guys! Also, aim me with questions and help at anytime at melonstastegood Thanks a lOT![/bold]
