can anyone help me out.i have an old toshiba laptop which i had windows 98 i tried to upgrade to windows xp my self using the disc from my dell computer.now when i try to start i using windows 98 i says some files are missing and it cant start.i dont have windows 98 on cd to reinstall has anyone else got it or can i download it from anywhere.
I'm sure your probably do realize that it's not possible for us to tell you where to get this directly, but I would suggest using google.
trying to use a dell restore disk on the toshiba wasn't very smart. also possible the toshiba dosen't have enough ram to load xp. try getting the win98 cd from from a flea market or a store that sells used games & software.
