i am looking to install Backtrack 3 on a thumb drive.
and i dont want to loose windows, how do i make a new partition?
or can i just make the copy of backtrack 3 by clicking: bootinst.bat and put the thumb drive in the USB port and when i want to go back to windows just remove it.

    thank you,

Tried the linux section and don't like the RTFM responses?.. same applies.. backtrack isn't for n00bs, it is a collection of very powerful (and in the wrong hands potentially dangerous and illegal to use on anything but YOUR network) tools...

Try reading the info on pendrivelinux.com and the backtrack forums before asking n00bish questions about powerful tools. Otherwise you get laughed at..

can't even read and understand enough to realise it's run as a live cd or from a stick to leave no traces.. that's really easy to do.. script kiddie windows 1337 hacker headed for jail.... hahahaha PMSL....

like I just did. That was actually quite polite... ask retard questions like yours on backtrack forums or remote-exploit and see how long you have an xp machine to access the internet from ;)
