Going crazy here. Everytime I go to use the programs Snag-it, Cdr-Win, Note Pad, and others I keep getting this error message popping up from MS saying "Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" and then it says to Send or Don't Send report to MS. I run Windows XP Pro, with AVG Anti-virus. I am attaching HJT Log. Please, any and all help is greatly appreciated. If reverting your system to a better point is out you might try windows update.Uninstalling the last programs may help too. Try these in this order System Restore Uninstall 2 newest programs windows update At a glance you have spyware that might be hindering things Spybot Search & Destroy is good for that
And if you're like me at all I hate the windows messenger client.I would pull it up to the roots.(this most likely isnt the problem however) You have way too many running processes. You should kill what you arent using for the moment. It will speed you way up.
Hi Runner121, Many thanks for responding. If I do a "system restore" won't I lose everything? I did do a Windows update and that did help alot. As far as my 2 newest programs, I can't remember what they were. What if I got rid of O & O Defrag and use Windows defrag? Also, I stay in contact with my sister through MS Messenger. Is there a better messenger out there for me that would be better as MS Messenger? I also am having a problem with all my icons on desktop disappearing, so I have to click on Control,Alt, Delete and then click on New Task and type in the word "explorer and they come right back. Also, what running processes should I get rid of that is running. Did you also say I am running spyware? If so what is it so I can get rid of it.I really do appreciate your help, many thanks.
