Hi guys.for some strange reason my pute (running xppro) has decided that instead of booting straight to my desktop,is forcing me to use the blue screen with the stupid users icon to click to get to my desktop.Its either that or an equally annoying screen that i have to enter a password into.User accounts only gives me these two options as well which is no help at all (thanks bill).Any one got any ideas how to skip this step please????thanks
There are 2 methods, I'll give you the easy way first- Open up Control Panel, go to User Accounts then click 'Change the way users log on or off' and make sure the 1st box is ticked. Then bring our RUN command and type in "control userpasswords2" (without quotation marks), make sure the box that comes up in the new windows is ticked and apply the settings- restart your PC to see whether it worked or not.
