I've been having this problem for quite a while now.(for about 3 weeks now). I've been searching all over the internet for a solution, but couldn't find it. So i came here.

When I try to play a video(specificlly, videos I downloaded via Bitlord)I get a "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.". Then it would ask me send error report or don't send. Also, when I check what the error report contains i find this: error signature:
AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2980 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000

PLEASE, if anyone knows anything that can help, please reply

    Thx

Did you try to play the videos with another media player?

O.K., I trust this is a general problem (i.e. not just one movie). Do you have all the necesary codecs? If not, try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version) from this site to see if things are better.
