windows media player is not working....Pls help me

Hi, im unable to play my windows media player, anything i will play it will say "The specified module could not found"

How to come out of this pls help me

 

What type of files have you tried to play that did not work?

 

I have tried max types, what ever i want to play it will give me the same message, i tried mpeg, mp3, avi, divx (i have codecs for the same) wma, wmv etc., what ever i try it will say "The specified module could not found"

 

I don't know what the problem might be.I have not used WMP in years.BUT let me give you the links for some good FREE media players.

Thanks alot i went with gom player, however it is asking for direct x, which i already have
