Hey im having problems with my windows media player. For example when i want to run a video from nba.com a new window appears and says
[no video] I think it may be that codecs are missing or something i recently downloaded genuine windows media player 11 and still doesn't work and sometime it works but it firefox tells me i am missing a plugin. So i try getting the plugin and then it says it cant find the plugin and i have to manually install it! So i try doing that then it brings me to the microsoft download center and says this page doesn't exist. The main point is that there is no video sign and it wont play and all...not even if i try to stream something else besides nba.com but when i want to stream stuff using media player it wont work....YouTube works fine... If anyone know anything about this please post it...thx!

well first off try viewing the video's through internet explorer and see if it works then

update your firefox/reinstall, there is no plugin required to run windows media player on firefox, there is a microsoft plugin but no mozzila one

i think this is the plugin your looking for

having windows media player 11 should be enough to stream the videos, now i doubt that NBA.com would upload videos in any other format then WMV for windows because this way no one can have codec problems, but if they were retarted enough to upload the videos in a file type that is not supported by default by WMP then go here for a great codec pack

questions, comments well then post back!

I am having this same problem, however, I have windows vista. I have went as far as doing a complete facotry recovery and it still wont work. Is there anything I can do or anyoe that knows how to take care of this, or find some sort of a fix. I can't seem to find any fixes or updates for media player regarding vista.

    Thank you

    well start a new thread
, tell us the file type=media player?, are you trying to view it online? if so what media player+site is it?

that wouldn't solve this kind of an issue, as you are most likely missing a plugin/codec/media player and such, you need to make an addition not take away!
so start that thread and feel free to link me to it:)

    Kev96- glade things went well;)
