Windows Ram Problem

    i have 2gb ram and it displays only 1.75gb usable , this problem has been like this for about are year after i purchased my laptop so yeh dunno any suggestions ?

    you sure it wasnt always like that.not much into laptops but doesnt it have onboard video?this shares some of your ram.

    moved to correct forum as not a windows issue. the reason for the difference is the 256megs missing from the 2gig is assigned to the onboard video. even desktops with onboard video have that same situation.
