Vista screwed up my computer, when i restarted my PC all my icon's screwed up and then i rebooted it still the same is there a way to restore the icons back to default. I hate Micro$oft
Powertoys (in particular, Tweak UI) used to be used to solve similar problems in XP. I'm not sure if they exist or ever will in Vista though. If you hate MS, maybe give Linux a try! Grab a live CD like Ubuntu (a new version comes out in just over a week if you want the latest hardware support and visual effects), stick it in and have a look. Doesn't write anything to the hard drive unless you choose to install, and will give a good idea of what Linux is capable and can look like.
I tryed linux it's stable but dumb compatability. And No it those not work on vista. i really need help on this.
Are you using a legitimate copy of Vista? Are you sure Vista screwed up your computer? What were you doing at the time? And what is dumb compatability? OpenOffice, Wine and a good dose of RTFM can probably solve 99% of all compatability issues on Linux.
When the CPU boots up it goes through POST, boot up etc well. But when it reaches the desktop, all they icons that i fix change back abnormally. I tryed to use tweak UI but even if i change compatability it won't execute. It's not really a critical issue, but i can be a nuisance when your searching for stuff. By mixed up icons i mean for example: hl2 icon for wordpad and yes the vista OS came with my computer (MEDION)
