windows vista home premium mic problem

Hi, I have installed windows vista on my machine only to find asus don't support vista (I have an asus p5pe-vm mainboard ) I contacted asus and they suggested I use xp drivers which got my sound working but not my mic. I tried installing a sound blaster 5.1 audio card only to find the same error and was told a xi-fi audio card would work but they are $200 plus so does anyone have a better solution (besides removing vista)thanks

 

all i know that you can do is wait for vista support.

mind if i ask why you installed vista? the great majority of computer savvy posters here are staying as far away from it as possible for the time being.

 

I was doing a complete computer upgrade so decided to upgrade the operating system also, I wish i did'nt now I am seriously cosidering returning to xp but I m still $170.00 out of pocket

 

sell your vista to someone else. you won't get your full retail price back, but it will take away some of the bite.
