I'm ready to pull my hair out....this User Account Control crap suxs ....I got it "turned off" but still can't copy or move a single damn file from a backup external HD onto this new system.....keeps giving me destination folder Access Denied...reguardless of any settings i try.

Is there a solution.....can all this bull shit be gutted from the OS?
I'm just about ready to go pirate a full XP operating system and just reformat this hard drive.....

    This is an easy fix

on your external hard drive, you need to right click the folder you want to transfer /properties/sharing/check the box "share this folder on the network"/check the box "allow network users to change my files".

The part that confuses everyone is the "destination folder" it should say "source folder", because thats where the problem is.
