windows xp installation shows 'no hard disk present'

    while i try to install windows xp on to my laptop it shows that there is no hard disk in my system or it is not turned on..it works fine while installing from windows..but when i boot it and install then this is wht it shows..can anyone help me with this??

    I do not fully follow you what you mean with;

    Have you allready installed Windows on it? What kind harddrive do you have?
