the volume control icon on my toolbar has disappeared and my pc stopped playing all the start up, shut down (jingles) they are still on my pc because i can play them manuall but they wont play automatically when they should,also i have the display icon ticked in the sound settings for it to show in the taskbar but it doesnt. Thanks
do you knoiw what kind of sound card you have? maybe need to update/reinstall the drivers. go to control panel/system/hardware/device manager look under "sound video and game controllers" and see if you sound device is properly installed.
