    just my comp 2nd hand and it keeps saying did not pass genuine windows validation not very good at computers can some one help please cheers

    daftlad1, look on ms site for "remove wga" progrom which does not validate your windows but removes that windows icon stating it is not genuine. that "remove wga" program was brougt out by ms because some legit windows were found falsely not genuine even tho they were.

    Try here, I had the same problem when I bought a computer several years ago from a "legit" computer shop. All went well until the WGA program started and I was notified that my copy of Windows was non-legit, I contacted the original seller and informed him, he supplied me with a legit serial number (One that he hadn't installed on multiple computers)and as is well now. You can always let your seller know about the message you got from Microsoft and see if he can fix your problem by giving you a legit disk and number.
