I just installed windows xp professional on my pc but whenever i switch users and try to go back in the account i was in it says that the password is wrong and I have to restart the computer because it wont let me in. I already ran almost every virus and ad program i have and my pc is clean so I dont know what to do and its really anoying. If anyone can help id appreciate it.
@krufto If its not allowing u to go into other accounts that u have a password for u can just lg in as the admin and go to the user accounts and change the settinhs and remove the passwords for the accounts. And then if u still want them just remove the passwords and then create a new password...
No thats not the problem. Ok I no my password first of all. When I start up the computer i can sign in just fine, but when i go to switch user it wont let me back in. It just says that i have the wrong password. And for my other account that doesnt even have a password it says enter password? Plus my msn freezes so i dont know if that has anything to do with it.
The only thing i can think of is too get rid of all acounts and start again. Mayb just have the one user account.
Ok that wont help because both accounts I have do the same thing. Plus it worked fine before I reinstalled windows. Another thing I realized is that i can never open the task manager. When i try to open it it just closes itself quickly.
Have u checked for viruses.... and have u done a defrag and other maintence stuff that can help...
