I no longer have "Extract to <Folder>" as an option when I right click on a zip file.

Even if i turn it on and off in the options, its gone? I want to know how to get it back! lol.. its so annoying to have to open winRAR then drag a folder from that window into its place.

    Anyone ever have this issue?

RDSR. As Varnull suggests, uninstall and then perhaps run ccleaner (freebie) in reg clean mode, restart your pc then install Winrar once again. Winrar is a very small app as you know, so this won't take long....or cost you a cent.

Don't people look while they install things (oh sorry.. that implies having a brain capable of thinking.. not M$ programmed behaviour to use what grey matter you were given :).. you have to tick the box to add winrar to right click menus

Yes but what happens when windose eats its dlls and the program you have (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/722161) wont work and reinstalling it dose nothing since it dose not replace the broken windose DLLs....

That's not the fault of winrar tho is it :) That's just useless windoze all over.

There is a rar virus knocking about too.. which is causing some odd effects.

thats weird.. i could of sworn my reply had been put in, good thing i checked.

    I found out what happened.

Winrar can only show so many options in the right click menu, (or at least for me) so i just removed it all, and kept the folder option ticked.

so its not resolved as to why i cant have more options in my right click context menu, but at least i have a work around that works for my needs.

Question...did you select add context menu or whatever it is when you install it or within the options once installed.

Yes sir, everything was normal and premeditated for use with shell integration.

I Dont know, but i think maybe some recent software might have given me some limited space on my right click menu?

Im curious if windows has a limit on how many items can be listed for a right click menu, i should look that up soon.

    I'm on windows XP SP3.

Mmmmm try removing all winrar registries in your registry, I use registry crawler might be something better now adays you can sue regedit if you used to it but its GUI is lacking.

I believe its a sticking registry issue its the most simplistst thing to over looked. If that dose not do the trick its more likely a more subtle issue.

I had a look at a cracked 3.80 install today.. and it was in the right click menus on sp3.

Theres a program knocking about called "extensis" or something like it which allows you to add and remove things from the right click menu.

What's the worry anyway.. just double click the file like I do when I'm forced to use that abortion of an OS :)
