First off if this is in the wrong forum I'm sorry... Whenever I enable my wireless connection on my laptop it won't acquire a new network address. Or if it's working and I hibernate and then turn it back on it won't acquire a new network address. But if I leave it on and reboot with the wireless card left on it will work. Any ideas? What gets cleared when I reboot windows? Oh ya I'm running xp pro sp2.
You can try two things. 1. Try and do a windows update and see if it has any new updates for your wireless card. or 2. You can remove the network and configure it again and see if that helps the computer connect every time. 3. You could also put in your ip address manually and dns server address manually so it can just connect straight. (sometimes this does not work as well) I hope that helps.
