Hi guys it's not often that I post here in the Windows Discussion forums but today I have a problem. Lately I've been having a problem where my wireless G desktop card is acting strange. It seems to connect when it wants to. I ran some tests to see if I could tell what was wrong but couldnt tell. When I try to connect to Windows Messanger it gives me the troubleshoot option and says that my DNS is having trouble with IP Adresses. My question is , is there any way to tweak my G router or G Desktop Card to get the best performance ? If so would someone mind helping me along with this?

    I would appreciate this greatly.

If I open an internet browser window sometimes I'm connected , sometimes not and more times than not I have to refresh the page 2 or 3 times before Im connected. My Wireless Utility also say the strength is Excellent.

Just because the strength is excellent doesnt mean you have a clean connection to the router.

Did you change the default channel that your wireless runs on? Most are defaulted to 6, which means everyone in your neighborbood who has wireless is probably still on channel 6. Try switching to channel 1 or 11 and see if it fixes the problem.

Yeah I've already changed the channel to 11 and toggled it between 1 and 11 but still the same thing
